Living right in the heart of Sydney Australia and wanting to own a bee hive, but knew this really wasnt going to be an option inner city where we live. So instead I decided to do a Flow Hive online bee keeping course hoping one day we would still get there. While doing this course I started to wonder how the beeswax was then turned into beeswax candles.

How are beeswax candles made? 

And at the time, why dont we see them as much as we used to?

Doing some research on this I learnt not only how amazing beeswax is, but how it also purifies the air, which makes it a sustainable product.

Working as a tradie for many years in Sydney a customer in Paddington would give me the French Trudon candles as a present when I was working at her place, certainly beautiful candles that always smell amazing.

Looking into Trudons history with beeswax candles, it ignited a flame in me, to make something beautiful, especially having a great grandmother who was French.

From this we decided to give the art of candle making a go, after many failed attempts we came up with a beautiful beeswax candle that we had added a scent too. We loved it so much, but I was over making candles as a second job, which My wife would (call a hobby)  then we went into lockdown and were stuck inside, we really noticed the purity of the air from the beeswax, this kept me wondering why dont people have these beautiful candles going all the time. so keeping me going was my wife's pushing for me to make candles for all our friends.

Arthur our ragdoll cat, we noticed he loved the smell too, we watched to see if the smell would affect him, if he would get agitated, but nothing. So we thought def onto a good thing.

Our journey didn't end with beeswax; it evolved, as we were constantly reminded of the need for versatility and a sustainable lifestyle, we wanted to make candles that were healthy & safe for us & our pets, which may surprise you that so many of the fake scents are very toxic & say not to have near fish tanks.

Then seeing beautiful forest being replaced for Soy plantations, we digged  even deeper to see what products were good for the environment & wouldn't affect natural habitats, and decided to expand our offerings to include olive oil candles.

These being Infused with the richness of olive oil, but we noticed that the real problem wasnt the body of the candle but the scents.

Now after 2.5yrs of going over and over to make our products more sustainable, we decided the only way is to get rid of the toxic scents, was to have pure 100% essential oils.

Having the olive oil candles which we also tested on our friends, please dont tell them,(we love them) we found also, that the guys, tradies liked them as much as their wives, and these were the ones constantly asking for more.

We feel if you try our candles on there own, I promise you wont go back.

The beautiful scents of pure Australian essential oils, mixed in olive will hook anyone, yes some dont smell as strong as the toxic ones, but you will never have any complaints from your  husband about strong artificial smells & headaches.
